What are the studio's new health & safety measures post-circuit breaker?
All workshop sizes are capped at 6 pax per session. All participants and visitors to the studio are required to complete Safe Entry check in upon arrival, have their temperatures taken and hands sanitized. All participants, visitors and studio staff are required to wear a mask at all times. Workshop participants are to be seated at least 1 M away from each other and are highly encouraged to limit their movement around the studio unless absolutely necessary. After every session, all studio towels and aprons are washed with anti-bacterial soap and all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before the next session begins. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if there is anything else we can do to better protect your health and safety during your visit to our studio.
Do I need prior experience in taking up the pottery workshops?
No, you do not need any prior experience because our workshops are designed to be enjoyed by everyone, novice and experienced alike! For children, we only accept ages 12 years old and above. All our workshops begin with a 15 minutes demonstration that introduces the basics and foundation you need to get started on your first pot. As we keep our workshop capacity small, all participants will be closely guided by our instructors and help will always be given.
Can the workshops be held at a location of my preference?
Our Nomad Potters service allows us to carry out our workshops at any location you stipulate. We have held our workshops and corporate events at various locations such as Abbott Singapore at Tuas South, WeWork Cityhouse, Naiise Iconic at Jewel Changi, Artbox 2019 and many others. Your chosen location would need to have electrical outlets and access to water. There will be an additional one time charge for return transportation and delivery of finished products. We would also require a confirmed participant count of 6 pax.
How long does it take for my workshop's finished pieces to be ready?
All pieces made during workshops or classes will only be ready for delivery or self-collection 6 weeks after the workshop. Our team will contact you once your parcel is all packed up!

Terra & Ember Studio will handle and treat your handmade pieces with every due diligence but do take note that the studio and its staff would not be held responsible for damages or loss incurred to your ceramic pieces during any stage of the process, including delivery (if chosen) by a third-party vendor. It is understood that the firing is dependent on the integrity of the clay during the workshop, hence the end products after firing may not meet expectations. Glaze defects and deformities can also happen during the firing stage and the final colour or texture can vary depending on the way the glaze melts, which the studio will not take responsibility for. Clay shrinks up to 30% in overall size (height and width) so it is understood that the final pieces will be significantly smaller than what was made during the workshop. By agreeing to participate in this workshop, the studio will not be held responsible for any loss of personal belongings or injuries sustained in the duration of the session.
