This advanced level course is designed for students with a strong foundation in wheel throwing and ready to integrate specialised techniques into their repertoire.

In this 10 lessons, students will be taught how to wheel throw the individual parts of teapots and lidded jars, followed by trimming and assembly. You will be guided through the steps of designing and crafting your own unique teapot and jar, combining both form and function in beautiful, practical pieces. With a focus on usability, students will be challenged to balance scale, proportion and functionality to ensure each piece fulfills it’s role perfectly.

Though we have in place a structured curriculum for our learners, you are highly encouraged to share with us your preferred pottery style or goals so the studio can adapt the curriculum to achieve your desired outcomes. This approach ensures that you are not only mastering techniques but also forging a creative path that is aligned with your pottery vision.
